IPCF is an interdenominational fellowship of followers of Jesus Christ. We seek to be faithful to the teaching of the Bible and committed to the core tenets of the Christian faith while remaining open to a variety of perspectives on secondary doctrines. There is a richness in our community which comes from the joys and challenges of worshipping together with people from diverse backgrounds. IPCF is a living example of what the future holds for all true believers in Jesus Christ. “After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:9)
As a faith-community, IPCF holds to the following:
- We believe in God, who reveals Himself in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the one Head of the Church, and that all believers stand before God on an equal basis.
- We believe in the complete deity and complete humanity of Jesus Christ.
- We believe that all are sinners needing a Savior, and that salvation is only and altogether through simple faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, arose, and intercedes for us.
- We believe that good works, while not necessary for salvation, naturally result from the lordship of Christ in our lives.
- We believe that a Christian is one who has experienced the new birth or spiritual regeneration, accepting Christ as his Lord and Savior.
- We believe in the resurrection of the body and the personal second coming of Christ to judge the world.
- We believe in the Bible as God’s Holy Word, which is our guide and final authority in all matters relating to the Christian faith and life.
We accept the Apostle’s creed as being a correct summary of Biblical teaching:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead and buried, He descended into hades,
On the third day He rose again from the dead,
He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty,
From there He shall come to judge both the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Christian Church,
The communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body, and everlasting life. Amen.
